The employee of the 21st century is no more confused between job goals and career goals, and has learned to distinguish between needs of their job (employer) and the needs of their career (personal goals). Actualizing one’s potentials is out of the question if survival is at stake, and once survival is secure, progress towards career goals become natural. Following good assures that you not only manage to survive, but also able to overcome barriers and realize yourself. Regrettably, for many people who never spend time to focus on and define their career goals, life reduces to a struggle for daily existence and lost potentials. To enjoy the life we have, and to fulfill our duties as well as wishes, we need to rethink our career goals and strategies.
